LOS ANGELES – Bruce Willis and Sigourney Weaver will star in "The Cold Light of Day," a kidnap thriller set for a September 6 start in Spain.
The story centers on a cocky young Wall Street trader (Henry Cavill of "The Tudors") who reluctantly vacations with his family in Spain. When his family is kidnapped, he is thrust into a government conspiracy and must unravel the secrets of his father (Willis) in order to save his loved ones.
Willis' deal is done while Weaver is still in negotiations to play the villain.
Mabrouk El Mechri, who directed the faux Jean-Claude Van Damme documentary "JCVD," is behind the camera of the Intrepid Pictures/Summit Entertainment project.
Willis returns to theaters later this month in "The Expendables" & "Avatar" alumna Weaver plays the villain in next year's sci-fi comedy "Paul."
